Last Tuesday, I stumbled across The Austen Tea Rooms in Essendon. As a scone connoisseur, I judge these ones to be magnificent. ~ Manda
From the napkins that matched the tea set to the delicious food and bottomless cups of tea my Book Club of ten decided this was the best Afternoon Tea we had experienced. We were seated in a delightful private room for 10 (more traditional cafe seating also available) we loved the chandeliers, prettiness of the table setting and the finger sandwiches, scones, savoury tarts and little cakes were exactly what we expected to receive and delicious. A bonus was the convenient (for us) location in Essendon and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
