August 2013

September 3, 2013

august2013blogIt is finally spring here in Melbourne which means that August is over. The last month of winter didn’t feel like that to me, given that it started off in Bangkok and ended with mid 20s weather in Melbourne. However, that very first night back from Bangkok, I did go to Soccer training and it was raining and 7.5 degrees! This month’s highlights are Bangkok to start with of course, but the month also included the launch of the sixth issue of the magazine I’m involved with, in Brief, with my image on the front cover, delicious food as usual, planting flowers, saying goodbye to Emma for 5 months as she goes on exchange in Denmark, and hanging out with my dogs. The best part of the month, though, was the Melbourne Writers Festival. It ended on Sunday, so September 1st so next month’s calendar will have the last little bit of it, but the end of this month was entirely shaped by the festival. I was at the festival every day of the 11 days (my favourite number!) save one because I fell ill from being so exhausted! It was an incredible experience. There were over 300 events in the festival and even though I was there almost every day, I only went to 50 of them! And that felt like a lot! It was a great organisation to be part of and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

So that was August 2013! Now onto September!

#365manda – July

August 27, 2013

july2013mapsblogJuly was a very exciting month as it included two holidays, three countries, one high tea, one murder mystery, one concert, a few days in bed, two birthdays and one turtle (you can click on the picture to look at it more detail). The year is well over a halfway and I still haven’t missed a day. Some days are tricky but even on those days, I’m still grateful that I am doing this because it forces me to look for the beauty in the everyday and makes me realise what makes me happy. Very often that is food and people, but sometimes it is as simple as the sun in the sky or a water droplet on a leaf.

You can follow my #365manda adventures over on my Instagram feed.

review

5 star review  Amanda made me feel confident, comfortable and relax with her charm and patience. She spent time to get to know me, my personality and what I want to use the photos for so she could advice me on the poses. She has this talent of putting you at ease and catch a natural smile (you know when you try so hard the smiles don't look natural - none of that with Amanda). Overall, I highly recommend Amanda's service, both for professional photos and personal ones.
