The perfect way to cheer me up is to have my camera in one hand, beautiful light around me and time to myself to wander. I love creating and sharing memories with photography, but to really explore and push myself photographically, I need moments to myself. This afternoon was one of those. There is a beautiful nursery on the way home called Acorn Nursery and one golden afternoon with time to spare, I took a wander through and used my adventure to try out the new techniques I had recently learnt. I want to share these with you because I think time to yourself really heals the soul and gives you a break from the fast paced lives we all lead these days. Not only does my camera bring a sense a calm to my life in times like that afternoon, but a good book, a great snack and just sunshine can also do it. I find my mood is incredibly reliant on the amount of sunshine I feel – I find it impossible to be too sad when the sun is out!
What do you like to do for a time out from the world?
