Frequently Asked Questions 〰️

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

I’m based in London, UK, but always happy to travel. I’m originally from Melbourne, Australia, but so far I’ve lived in 7 countries and visited 64 - and I love bringing that wanderlust energy to my shoots in London and discovering all the beautiful corners of this city. I do really love going to visit Oz so if you have a wedding back there, I can roll it up with a trip home!

HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING AS A PHOTOGRAPHER & graphic designer?

I have been working as a photographer for almost 10 years, and have been lucky enough to photograph thousands of colourful faces all over the world. My main focus is working with female-owned businesses, weddings, families and couples as well as charities and events. As a graphic designer, I have over 11 years of international professional experience across in-house, freelance, voluntary and studio roles while working across Australia, Africa and Europe. I love being a dual creative and believe my skills in both enhance the other!

WHAT IS YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?

It’s all about being in the moment, with a healthy side of making sure you all look & feel good, about capturing the moments as they happen while also focusing on the details.

I don't like to over-pose you or give too many instructions, but I will tell you what to do with a rogue hand if you look like you've run out of smiling enthusiasm.

DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE PHOTOGRAPHING BLACK SKIN TONES?

It’s not always easy to find a photographer who understands skin tones when taking photos and when editing them, and even though I’m as white as milk, there’s a reason I call myself a photographer of colourful faces. I understand how important it is to preserve your natural skin tones, and you’ll never find me doing funky editing, lightening or whitening to your beautiful skin.

What are your favourite photos to take?

The ones where you truly trust me to create something special. Photography is a trust process and when you relax in front of the camera, you give me the best gift to capture you authentically. But truly my favourite photos are the ones that make you sigh with joy that you look better than you ever expected!

DO YOU SUPPORT SAME-SEX COUPLES + FAMILIES?

Love is love - I celebrate all of us! So yes, I do :)

DO WE GET DIGITALS OR PRINTS AND ALBUMS?

All of my packages provide you with all of the best digital photos from the day. I make sure you get all the best moments but none of the bad blinking photos! I don't have a maximum number of photos I provide but the minimum is generally 50+, depending on the length of the session (obviously, the longer we hang out, the more photos).

Your images will be sent to you in an online gallery. I will provide you with a preview shortly after your session, my availability pending, and then the full images will be ready 4-6 weeks from your shoot date, again barring any external availability.

And then, if you are interested in getting prints and/or album, get in touch as I know all the best recommendations and since I’m a graphic designer, I can custom design any album for you!

How did you get started as a photographer and graphic designer?

I am almost entirely self-taught with help from my mentors! I like to advocate that anyone can teach themselves these skills (I hate being a gate-keeper) and if you love it, you will push yourself to grow and grow. I have a few other university degrees in other useful skills - if you spot any typos on this website, don’t tell my grammar lecturer haha - but it’s the creative areas that inspire and drive me forward. So if you’ve always wanted to upskill in these areas, let’s have a chat because take a chance, you never know where it will lead!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK?

Generally, I recommend getting in touch with me 3-4 months in advance for a wedding, if not more, and 2-3 months in advance for all other shoots. The further in advance the better, but I also love last-minute bookings!

What is your style of graphic design?

I like punchy colours and bold fonts, à la this website but I have worked for a long time as an in-house graphic designer so can follow anyone’s brand guidelines to get the job done. As a designer, our style is always evolving and absorbing inspiration from everywhere and I like to tailor any of my designs to your own style too.

I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS…

I love to chat so send me an email and I can answer any questions you might have.
